- Hotels -
We recommend staying in Canyamel so you can be close to the wedding venue and weekend events. The below hotels are all nearby and range from luxury resort-style stays to more casual beach-town options.
Can Simoneta
Our wedding venue! Can Simoneta is a beautiful cliffside hotel overlooking the sea, and we would love for you to stay here with us. The original house was built as a peaceful retreat for an ailing monk, whose doctor had prescribed frequent seawater baths. The property has since been transformed into an intimate hotel surrounded by quiet gardens and sea views, with direct access down the cliff to the sea. There should be around 10 rooms available for wedding guests. The hotel is centrally located between Pleta de Mar and the town of Canyamel, about a 6-minute walk to each.
Pleta de Mar
Pleta de Mar is Can Simoneta’s sister hotel and the most seamless option for guests who want to be close to the wedding venue while staying somewhere equally special. The property is peaceful, design-forward, and surrounded by nature, with beautiful sea views and a more secluded resort feel. It is about a 6-minute walk from Can Simoneta.
Melbeach Hotel & Spa
Melbeach is a beachfront hotel in the town of Canyamel, perfect for guests who want to stay right by the water and be within easy walking distance of local restaurants and the beach. It has a relaxed, coastal feel and is a great option for guests who want a comfortable stay close to the weekend events.
Canyamel Park Hotel
Canyamel Park Hotel is a comfortable and convenient option in town, just a short walk from the beach. This is a great choice for guests who want an easy home base in Canyamel with access to the beach, restaurants, and local amenities, while still being very close to the wedding venue.

We are going to Mallorca!
So many of our important moments have happened here, and we're so excited to share it with you. You know where to find us if you want more specific recs...😉
Palma
Where to stay:
Sant Jaume Design Hotel - a small hotel in the heart of Palma’s Old Town
Palma City Day
Begin in Palma's old town. Go see La Seu Cathedral, Palma’s cathedral overlooking the sea (you won't miss it). Then spend some time walking around the old town - be sure to check out Passeig del Bor, La Lonja, and the Arab Baths. Grab lunch in one of the many cafes along the way.
In the afternoon, go to Castell de Bellver for views of Palma and the bay. If you're traveling with a new girlfriend(ish?) and she insists on walking there, DO NOT listen to her. It will be a very long and not pedestrian-friendly walk in the heat, and when she tells you every five minutes "it's like three more streets" know that she is lying (but you really like her and she flew from LA to Spain, so you can't be mad).
For dinner go to El Camino, a tapas restaurant with one long marble counter (get a res far in advance!). You MUST order the omelette and one of their fresh fish. If you still have energy after dinner, stop for cocktails at Why Not? Cocktail Bar.
Cala Pi + Cap Rocat
Cala Pi (45 min drive from Palma) is our favorite beach on the island - a little cove tucked between two cliffs. Note that parking can be a bit tough, but if you hang out for a few minutes you'll likely see a car leaving. Cap Rocat Sea Club (30 min drive from Palma) is the chiller of two restaurants in the Cap Rocat hotel. The hotel is an old fortress and pretty amazing but definitely quite fancy.
Depending on your travel style...
Option 1 (what you probably should do) - Book an early lunch at Cap Rocat Sea Club . Throw a fit, do your hair, wear makeup, etc, etc. After lunch, head to Cala Pi and spend the rest of the afternoon swimming and lying on the beach.
Option 2 (what we would do) - Start at Cala Pi and swim all day, then drive to Cap Rocat for a late lunch. We love salty skin and a parking lot outfit change. Order a bottle of wine, watch the boats, and stay for a while.
Whichever order you choose, book Sea Club far in advance and leave plenty of time to enjoy it! Also very key - make sure to time your drive back to Palma around sunset! A core memory of ours is driving back from this beach through the winding roads and small towns at sunset - chatting, sharing songs with each other, and other general falling in love stuff.
Boat Day
Charter a boat from Palma and spend the day cruising along the southwest coast. Stop to swim, jump off the boat, and anchor near Playa del Mago, a small cove with clear water and a relaxed approach to swimwear (maybe leave your kids at home). Enjoy snacks, beer, and a glass of cava on the boat, then head back to Palma for a relaxed dinner at Toque de Queda.
Deià & Valldemossa
Where to stay:
Hotel Es Molí - a hotel in Deià that has a private sea cove with shuttle access (hard to find!)
Hotel Mirabó de Valldemossa - a finca (small farm) in Valldemossa where you feel super off the grid, with unbelievable views of the town at sunset
Ca’s Patró March Lunch
Start in the village of Deià and spend some time walking around the tiny stone streets. There are a few shops and cafés, but the entire village can be explored fairly quickly.
There's a short hike (I promise it's only 1.5 miles) from the town, through farms and olive trees, to Cala Deià. The walk is beautiful and all downhill, but it's definitely a hike so wear real shoes and bring water. At the bottom, have lunch at Ca’s Patró March, a little beach shack on the water that has unbelievable views/vibes. Order fresh fish and little clams (tellinas or coquinas). After lunch, swim at the cala before making your way back to town. You need to get a reservation far in advance, but if you don't get a res, you can put your name down and enjoy the beach day. After lunch, you can hike back up, or you can take it easy and taxi.
Valldemossa to Deià Big Hike
For a more ambitious day, hike from Valldemossa to Deià (or do the reverse)! This is an epic hike that takes you high into the Tramuntana mountains, with some of the craziest views you will ever see. This is an actual hike - bring proper shoes, plenty of water, and download the route before you start. We also brought ham and crackers for lunch on the trail, which we highly recommend! This is a point-to-point hike, but taxis/Ubers are easy to find in either town so you can easily get home.
Artà & Cala Torta
Where to stay:
Es Racó d’Artà - a peaceful countryside retreat just outside the town of Artà
Cala Torta Beach Day
This is an option if you want to head towards the wedding area a bit early! If you don't stay at Es Racó d’Artà, we would still recommend going for lunch. If you are in the area we highly recommend Cala Torta. The drive is part of the experience, it's a long winding road and then you park at the top of the hill. It's a 15-20 minute walk from the parking area to the beach, but once you get there it is a very remote beach with crystal clear water.
